PlayStation Trip Tomorrow - Our annual children’s trip to the PlayStation in Cedar Rapids is tomorrow, August 2, 2010. The trip is for children age 4 through Elementary. Any children younger than 4 are welcome to come with their parent or guardian. The cost is $5 and includes admission, lunch and an ice cream snack when we return. There is a sign up sheet at the back table and flyers. There are also permission slips which are required for any child whose parent/guardian is not with them. Socks are required at the PlayStation. We will leave from church at 10 a.m. so be here by 9:50. Children can be picked up between 2:30 and 2:45. Take a flyer for all the details.
Rev. Sean Hirschy - Rev. Sean & Kirsten Hirschy will be with us on Sunday morning, August 8, 2010 for our morning service. The Hirschys are missionaries that we support in Trostberg, Germany. They minister at Rhema Bible Training Center Trostberg and also work with the youth and in the music ministry at Christian Faith Church in Trostberg. Come and hear what God is doing in Germany! Pontoon Ride at Lake Macbride - Once again we are planning an adult Pontoon Ride on Lake Macbride. It will be on Sunday afternoon, August 22, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. We will provide sandwiches and drinks. The cost is $12.00 per person. There is a sign up sheet at the back table so we know how many to expect. The deadline for sign up and payment is Sunday, August 15th.
Fall Tune Up - On Saturday afternoon, August 28, we will have a Fall Tune Up. Come to Dave Schumann’s Farm to tune up your skills with archery or guns. At 1:30 it will be archery; from 3 to 4:30 Dave Schumann will give tips on using handguns and sighting in black power rifles. Then from 4:30 to 5:30 we will eat. We will collect $5 per person for pizza. Then at 5:30 we will begin our trap shoot. This event is not just for men! Bring your own shells and clay pigeons.
Water Baptism Service - We will be having a Water Baptism Service on Sunday evening, September 12, 2010, at 7 p.m. downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. If you have never been water baptized, this is a great opportunity for you! There is a sign up list on the back table and an information sheet for you.
